Section Hike No.3
A Day Hike Through the Forests Surrounding the Kushiro Wetland
Starting from Takkobu Auto Campground, the route follows the lakeshore before joining the national highway. Some sections have heavy traffic and limited visibility, so please take extra care while walking.
The route then enters the Chirishinne forest road, leading into woodland shaped by forestry. As you walk among rows of neatly planted trees and notice signs of wildlife, your senses gradually become more attuned to the surrounding nature.
Emerging from the forest, you arrive at the quiet settlement of Toro, with the route finishing at JR Toro Station. This course offers a chance to experience the forests surrounding the Kushiro Wetland and their connection with local life.
